3 good things is a short form regular round up. Things that I love and recommend, often books, but not limited to this. May include: podcasts, skincare, wines, hotels, wishlists… anything really!
As the weather gets warmer you can guarantee this is the only book I will be cooking from. I love a salad, but to eat them as your main meal they must be good. They need crunch, tang and to be exciting. Jess Damuck nails this, consistently. The book is split into seasons based on local produce availability, but I cook all the salads (regardless of their categorised season) from April-October. A good mandoline will make all the difference here if you don’t already have one.
A not new recommendation but if it is NEW TO YOU then I am so excited. I love Dolly Parton and country music, however this series exploring Dolly and her ability to touch the hearts of all and cross political divisions is such a brilliant piece of work. I first discovered this 5 years ago and I re-listen to it perhaps annually. It is joyful.
I’m a practical learner and learn best by seeing something done. I really rate clear models that help you take the conceptual into the practical* and this post by Lenny on how to say no was just that. I particularly loved the idea of making a policy for yourself and then telling people about your policy. *Have I told you about Vipassana yet?!
